Confidence

Respect

Compassion

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”

At Blue Nest Montessori School, we understand the difficulty parents face as they search for the best in childcare and education. We believe that by combining the Montessori Method of teaching with the EYFS to offer the very best of both. We provide a home away from home for babies aged 3 months through to children aged 5 years and have taken great care to create the secure, nurturing and fun environment especially responsive to a child's developmental stages and inherent desire to learn.

Our child centred nursery design has spacious rooms filled with natural light, a private garden and an eco friendly forest school. We have been awarded the Montessori School of the Year - London Prestige Award 2019/20 alongside a 'Good' Ofsted report. We are one of the only nurseries in London to receive ISO 45001 International Standard for occupational health and safety management systems. Learning through play

Our natural learning system is designed to help children develop and excel. The principles we follow are...

1

Stimulation

Our Montessori classrooms are designed to make children reach their full potential.

2

Learning through senses

Using all our senses to learn makes the learning experience more fun and easier to absorb.

3

Freedom to learn

Each child is free to choose the materials they want to work with. This makes the child responsible and confident.

4

Independence

Independence helps in the formation of the child’s character and personality.

5

Interest in learning

Children develop an interest in learning when they are provided with a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards gaining knowledge.

6

Self-discipline

Through the freedom to choose and learn at their own pace, children acquire the ability of ”self-discipline”.

7

Repetition

“Repetition is the key for learning.” The Montessori environment allows the child to repeat activities and in this way removes any pressure or fear in grasping the concept of the activity.

Wonderful nurturing nursery. Home away from home for my daughter. Teachers interacted with her well and she enjoyed the activities and learnt a lot. She was there for just over 3 years.
